About Student Senate
Student Senate is made up of:
- One representative from each registered student organization
- A representative from the Pharmacy/Toxicology program
- The president and vice president from each professional class at the School of Pharmacy
- The officers of Student Senate
Every student is a member and is welcome to attend a Senate Meeting. At the monthly meetings the senators get together to discuss preojects, ideas for improving the school, and concerns or issues among students and faculty.
Student Senate Sponsors:
- The All-School Picnic at Vilas Park - this picnic is a chance for all the students and faculty and their families to get together at the begining of the school year to enjoy games, music, and tons of food.
- The Winter Bash at the begining of the second semester is a time to socialize and regroup after winter break.
- The End-of-the-Year Picnic is a chance to celebrate having completed another academic year.
- The Career Fair and Residency Showcase, which are held at the Memorial Union. About sixty employers and residency sites are present.
- Two scholarships for students
